In September 2022, ITS Australia hosted a National Women in Transport networking Reception at the 2022 ITS World Congress in Los Angeles. This was a great opportunity to share stories and best practices as we work towards developing strategies for overcoming barriers for women in our industry.
The event showcased women in the industry and was an opportunity to connect with international colleagues and stakeholders.
ITS Australia is a membership-based peak body representing Australian industry, government, and research organisations in promoting Intelligent Transport Systems initiatives. They have a strong commitment to improving gender diversity within their industry and have measurable objectives established by their board to achieve this.
A special thank you to Susan Harris, Chief Executive Officer of ITS Australia from our Speaker Bureau who is an advocate for diversity and for women in transport. Susan has strong connections to the international ITS community and the global network of ITS Associations. She is highly regarded for her roles supporting the growth and innovation of our industry across a number of industry advisory groups.
